The MDOC Summer Series
New MapRun events!
We will be publishing new MapRun courses for you to try over the next month.
Event 1 - Edgeley
Event 2 - Glossop
Event 3 - Wythenshawe
Event 4 - Dovestone
Variety!
There will be a variety of maps from from OOMAP and Night Street League format to
classic orienteering urban and all terrain. There will be a medley of courses from
linear to score, and ( obviously ) a mixture of terrains from urban, through park to really quite wild.
Educational!
Complete all four contests to complete your August navigational skills top-up. Having completed
the challenge all your navigational knowledge will have extended to finding checkpoints
in every type of terrain. Your route and those of others will be provided by MapRun's excellent
results service for a thorough post-mortem.
1st August
The first of the Series will be published here just in time for a crack of dawn start on Saturday
the 1st August, and the others once a fortnight thereafter. The maps will be available as PDFs
for you to download and print.
